New to crypto? Here's the 30-second version
Your donation sits in a locked escrow account on a public blockchain. The person receiving it can only take money out by uploading receipts — and every step stays visible to everyone, forever. You don't need to understand blockchain to check our work: every project page shows the receipts.
Donations flow through contracts, not through us
When you donate, your USDC travels a fixed on-chain path. There is no intermediate bank account, no custodian holding funds, and no admin key that can redirect money.
- Your wallet sends USDC to the project forwarder address shown on the project page.
- The forwarder automatically splits the amount: the donation goes to the escrow contract, the ambassador reward goes to the platform operating account — in the same transaction.
- Funds sit in the escrow contract until the recipient withdraws them with an expense document. Nobody else can move them.
Check every address on BaseScan
These are the official SeeGive contracts on Base (chain ID 8453). Always confirm the address in your wallet matches one of these before sending anything.
| Contract | Address | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Wrapper | 0x926B174E4e868c1f0fff5D510DF59bF5A477B943 | Creates and registers project escrows (Project contracts). |
| Forwarder factory | 0x0e515787D82626d4Dc2AC3392556963FFa946050 | Deploys donation splitters (Default / Partner forwarders) with immutable reward settings. |
| USDC token | 0x833589fCD6eDb6E08f4c7C32D4f71b54bdA02913 | Circle's native USDC on Base (6 decimals) — the only token SeeGive accepts. |
How projects are screened before they go live
Every request for help must include supporting documents — medical reports, quotes, invoices, or equivalent evidence depending on the case. Projects are published only after screening.
Documents submitted. The applicant uploads supporting evidence together with the request.
Reviewed using supporting evidence such as documents, photos, or other records, with AI-assisted checks. Each document is checked for relevance to the request, authenticity signals, and consistency with the application details.
Failed documents rejected with reasons. Anything irrelevant, inconsistent, or suspicious is rejected and the applicant is told why.
Published with evidence linked. Approved projects go live with their evidence linked on the project page, so donors can review the same material.
Exactly where the 10% goes
Each donation includes a 10% ambassador reward that supports platform development, hosting, and service providers. It is a transparent platform reward: the amount is split on-chain, in the same transaction, and encoded in the forwarder contract for everyone to see.
Sample calculation
You give 100 USDC to the project. A 10% reward (10 USDC) is added on top, so you send 110 USDC in total — 100 USDC to the project escrow, 10 USDC to the platform operating account. The project always receives your full gift.
How the reward is used
- Platform development — building and improving SeeGive.
- Hosting and infrastructure — servers, domains, and uptime.
- Service providers — RPC endpoints, rate feeds, and integrations.
- Ambassador program — referral partners earn their share from the ambassador reward, never as an extra charge on top of the donor amount.
The reward percentage is encoded in the forwarder contract on-chain.
Only the recipient can withdraw, and only with receipts
Money leaves the escrow only to the recipient's wallet, only against an expense document stored as a public verification record, and only as needed. Spend-as-you-go, no lock-up.
- Only the recipient's wallet can withdraw — not SeeGive, not anyone else.
- Every withdrawal requires a public receipt and verification record, permanently recorded on-chain.
- The same expense document cannot be reused twice.
- All withdrawal records are public on the blockchain ledger and listed on the project page.

Frequently asked questions
Where do my funds actually go?
Directly into the project escrow smart contract on Base, split by the forwarder in the same transaction: donation to escrow, ambassador reward to the platform operating account. No bank account, no custodian, no intermediary ever holds your donation.
Can SeeGive move or freeze donated funds?
No. Escrow and forwarder contracts are immutable once deployed. There is no admin key. Only the recipient's wallet can withdraw, and only by submitting an expense document.
How do I verify a project myself?
Open the project page, review the linked supporting evidence, copy the escrow and forwarder addresses, and check them on BaseScan: confirm the escrow holds USDC, the forwarder points at that escrow, and the reward percentage matches what the page states.
What is the ambassador reward?
A fixed, on-chain share of each donation that funds platform development and operations — for example, 10 USDC out of a 100 USDC gift. Each project's exact percentage is set when the project is created and is shown on the donate page before you pay. It is added on top of your gift, so the project still receives 100%, it is encoded in the forwarder contract, and it is split in the same transaction: never taken afterwards, never hidden.
How are withdrawals controlled?
Only the recipient's wallet can call withdraw, each withdrawal must reference a unique expense document stored as a public verification record, and every withdrawal is recorded on-chain and shown on the project page. There is no lock-up: funds are spent as needed, with receipts.
What if I spot a suspicious project or a bug?
Email seegive@seegive.com immediately with the project link, the suspicious address, and what you noticed. Do not send funds to anything you cannot verify.
